Hacker History

The Hacker Twilight Group

Was Established in 1982

The Hacker Group plays "nine and dine" couples golf on Wednesday evenings during the regular season at the Newark Country Club. The "Hacker" name was chosen to emphasize the groups purpose as primarily social for members with varying golf skills.

2021 is the 40th season for the Hackers and the name is still appropriate.

Weekly competition is friendly and varies each week between individual, couples, and foursome events.

Since 2006, the season culminates with each couple vying for the coveted Hacker's Couple Cup. The game is total net of the twosome. Winner names are engraved, and then there is a peaceful transfer of the Cup and bragging rights for the coming season.
